C and I have found some new (and not so new) sweet munchies that are a little happy something to nibble on during weekends or at any other time.
We found this sweet-sour strawberry bar from the Japanese grocery in Little Tokyo. It is really good. A cross between frozen strawberry yoghurt and strawberry ice cream. If you're having some yakiniku or sushi in the area this is a good treat either before or after the meal. Or you can buy more than one and take it home for snacking on for the rest of the week.
These are called nougat bars, which are like horlicks on a stick. You can get them from the Korean grocery beside Metrowalk. These sticks are sweet and wonderfully creamy. C and I are planning to buy some soon to stock in the fridge for some midnight happiness.
Who has not seen the Chocolate Carnival ads of Krispy Kreme? I am a Krispy Creme purist, and love their original glaze more than any other flavor. But this is an amazing treat. Its not your traditional chocolate glazed donut, it tastes like it was just dipped in slightly dark chocolate and after the first bite, it will shock you how fast you can finish one and move on to the next. This is one treat where the ads do not lie.
